Provincial
Honour Band
The NLBA's Provincial Honour Band is an ensemble of grade 10 to 12 students from across the province that come together to learn, rehearse, and perform.
About the Band.
Fall 2025 marks the launch of the NLBA's inaugural Provincial Honour Band. This exciting new initiative brings together exceptional high school wind, brass, and percussion students from across the province for three days of rehearsals, culminating in a public concert on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM in St. John’s, alongside the MUN Wind Ensemble.

This year, we are honoured to welcome Dr. Denise Grant (former MUN Bands Director) as our guest conductor, with guest composer Kenley Kristofferson joining us from Manitoba. Additionally, students will receive sectional coaching from MUN faculty, connect with peers from across Newfoundland and Labrador, and gain a pathway experience toward the National Youth Band of Canada.
