Provincial
Honour Band
The NLBA's Provincial Honour Band is an ensemble of grade 10 to 12 students from across the province that come together to learn, rehearse, and perform.
About the Band.
November 2025 marked the launch of the NLBA's inaugural Provincial Honour Band. This exciting new initiative brought together exceptional high school wind, brass, and percussion students from across the province for three days of rehearsals, culminating in a public concert on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 2:30 PM in St. John’s, alongside the MUN Wind Ensemble.

This year, we were honoured to welcome Dr. Denise Grant as our guest conductor, with guest composer Kenley Kristofferson, who joined us from Manitoba. Additionally, students received sectional coaching from MUN faculty, connected with peers from across Newfoundland and Labrador, and gained a pathway experience toward the National Youth Band of Canada.
